AkaRelle (back)

Akarelle is a 35mm viewfinder camera with interchangeable lenses, made by Apparate & Kamerabau in Germany between 1954 and 1957. This is a rather curious camera with an interchangeable lens and composition markings in the viewfinder for 50 and 90mm lenses. The lens mount is of a screw-on type but the lens isn’t threaded in the conventional sense (there is an outer ring around the lens which screws onto a threaded ring on the camera).

Lens: Schneider-Krauznach Radionar 50mm f/3.5.

Robust design (heavy), rather worn metal case, seems to be in good working condition although long exposures seem to be slighly longer than they should as is almost always the case with older cameras. Nice and rather rare camera which is seldom seen for sale.
