Zeiss Ikon Deckrullo Nettel Tropical (underside)

This beautiful camera of polished teak and brown "tropical" bellows is a Deckrullo Nettel Tropical made by Zeiss Ikon, Germany in the 1920's. It`s a tropical strut-folding camera for 9x12cm plates. The standard models of the camera have black leather body covering, but this is the more exclusive "tropical" model. Even the film pack adapter used teak and brown leather.

Most unusually for such an old camera the shutter works and the camera is in absolute top condition. The shutter has a wide range of speeds, by adjustment of both the spring tension and the gap width between the blinds, with a top speed as short as 1/2000 second!

This camera is for those seeking a truly beautiful old wooden camera of high quality in a good working condition. It is simply a delight to hold the camera and discover all the nice details and functions available.
