Greenish-coma comet C/2009 P1 Garradd with its two distinctive tails faintly visable in this attempt to capture the comet with a DSLR (no telescope)
The short-period comet P/2010 V1 (Ikeya-Murakami as captured with a DSLR during a very short window at dawn on 07 Nov 2010. The comet was discovered after perihelion by manual observations on 03 Nov 2010 by Japanese amateur astronomers Kaoru Ikeya and Shigeki Murakami following a major outburst, visually not unlike the amazing outburst of 17P/Holmes. The planet Saturn is the large bright "star" to the left
